Block A Schedule

  1. SENIORS: During advisory tomorrow you will be asked to verify the spelling of your name for high school your diploma. It is extremely important that you take this seriously as the computer does not always print your name the way it should appear on your diploma. NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO CHANGES MADE AFTER THIS. 
  2. Monday, February 6th counselors will present information about selecting courses for next year to 9th -11th grade students in the Little Theater . Students, please go straight to the Little Theater. Do not report to your class. Period 3: 11th grade Period 4: 10th grade Period 5: 9th grade
  3. Students needing a schedule change must complete a change request form and bring it to the counseling office at the time designated for your grade (1/25 or 1/26 after finals). Forms are available in the main office starting Monday, January 23rd after school. Further instructions and details about the process may be found in front of the counseling office. Good luck with finals!
  4. Tutoring for finals during lunch today and tomorrow under the stairs in the atrium. Tutors will be matched on a first-come first-served basis. 
  5. Handmade Pulsera bracelets are now available for $5 and sold thru January 25 @lunch in the atrium.
  6. Human Contact Club brings you the contact word of the day: succotash – an American dish of corn and lima beans cooked together.
  7. Come support music in Albany Schools and hear great jazz music by the award-winning AHS Jazz Band & Jazz Lab Ensembles and AMS Jazz Band at Yoshi's @ Jack London Square! Tuesday, January 31 at 8 pm Tickets are $20 p​er ​p​erson​ and are on sale now through Jan. 20. Ask a student in any of these ensembles for tickets or purchase at This is always a fun evening and usually sells out, so get your tickets now! 
  8. Come out to cheer on the AHS boy's soccer home games on Friday. JV vs Kennedy HS at 4:00 and varsity vs Hercules HS at 6:00.
  9. The 2017 Albany Hoops "6th Man" t-shirts are here The first 50 AHS & AMS students that arrive at the Boys B-Ball games on Friday, Jan. 20th vs. El Cerrito will receive a FREE Albany Hoops "6th Man" t-shirt. Games start 5:30pm. Shirts will be available for parents/adults to purchase for ONLY $5.00 each. Hope to see you there!
