Block B Schedule

General
  1. Prom tickets will be on sale from Monday, 5/8 to Thursday, 5/11 at lunch in the atrium, Tickets are $80 for AHS students and $85 for guests! Don’t forget to pick up a dance agreement form from the leadership board.
  2. Have you done a promposal or are you planning on doing one? Leadership will be giving out two free tickets to the couple with the best promposal. Submit a photo or video of your promposal to subekshas17@ausdk12.org by May 20th. Please keep in mind: you do still have to buy your prom tickets. If you win, you will be reimbursed!
  3. Are you signed up for the Ashland trip? Come to M4 on Thursday or Friday during lunch for an important meeting. You must attend one of these meetings or speak with Ms. Fahrner in order to attend the trip. See you there!
  4. Calling all artists! The art blog is holding our second annual art contest. The theme is social media. All media is accepted. Please email all submissions to ahsartmagazine@gmail.com. Enter for a chance to win a $20 Blick gift card. Deadline is May 31st. Can’t wait to see your submissions!
  5. Did you go to Ocean View School? If so, Ms. Yvonne, our beloved PE teacher is retiring. She would love to hear from all those of you who had her for PE at Ocean View School. All you have to do is come to the counseling office and sign on one of the cards we have for you. Wish her a happy retirement!
  6. Seniors: Extra graduation ticket request letters written and signed by a parent and should be turned in at the Main Office by Friday, May 5th. No exceptions.
  7. Did you enjoy IHS Freshman year? Do you like helping people and educating your peers? Then peer help may be for you! Applications to join the 2017-2018 peer help group are now available in the counseling office for freshman and sophomores and they are due May 9th.
  8. AUSD SUMMER SCHOOL: AUSD Summer School is currently enrolling students. This 4-week, free program will be held from June 26 – July 21 with a holiday taken on July 4. The program will be held at Cornell Elementary School. The courses being offered are English and History. Students who have failed an English or History class and need to make up those credits in order to graduate will be given priority enrollment. Students who have received a D in English or History may also request an opportunity to improve their grade in summer school, but enrollment to these students will be given on a first-come, first-served basis based on space in the program. Registration forms are now available in the counseling office.
College and Career
  1. AP Students: Exams will continue next week starting with Biology. Please check your e-mail this weekend for next week’s schedule. If you have no locations on your schedule, come to my office at 8AM on Monday morning with documents in hand. There is one seat available for the Calculus AB exam. Contact me by today’s break if you wish to sign up. Good luck on your exams!
