  1. Course presentations today during lunch are Yearbook in Rm 109B and Journalism in Rm 109A.
  2. AP Students: If you used your AUSD e-mail address to register for AP exams, you must change it to a personal one. DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT. This will further delay your registration.​ If you ​need financial assistance, you must register today, then turn in your fee waiver forms
  3. ASAP! Today is the last day to register for AP Exams without a late fee. The price goes up next week so visit bit.ly/AHSAP17 to sign-up today! 
  4. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People was founded in 1909. It’s now considered “the nation’s oldest, largest and most widely recognized grassroots-based civil rights organization.
  5. The African-American Parent Engagement Group cordially invites you to attend their Second Annual Black History Month Cele bration on Wednesday, February 15, from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Ocean View Multi-Purpose Room. All families are invited for a night of singing, dancing and a soul food dinner. Many student groups, K-12, will be performing. Hope to see you there!
  6. Let's Bring Change 2 Mind Club is all about de-stigmatizing mental illness. We are hosting a movie tonight from 5:45-8PM. Come watch Perks of Being a Wallflower and enjoy free pizza and other snacks! Food in 109A, movie to follow in 109B. Bring your friends and a pillow. (Ask your IHS teacher about extra credit)
  7. February 15th is the final deadline for Global Navigator Scholarships to study abroad this summer.

College and Career
  1. Attention Seniors: Have you thought about taking a Gap Year after high school, but not sure what you want to do with it? Consider about traveling around the world! If this opportunity interests you, sign up with Ms. Parrott in the Counseling Office to visit with Rustic Pathways next week.

  3. Interested in a Career in Aviation? Sign-up in the Counseling Office to visit with a representative from the Aviation Institute who will be on campus today.
