Description

The Instructional Improvement Council (IIC) serves as an advisory group to site and District administration and Board of Education in areas of curriculum, instruction, and staff development. View the bylaws.

Purpose

  • Recommend approval/disapproval of new courses and curricular initiatives. Course approval protocols can be found here.

  • Provide open forum for students, parents, and school staff to ask questions, discuss, reflect upon, and consider issues within its domain of responsibility.

  • Within the context of school-wide and district priorities, establish short and long-term goals and propose methods for implementation of those goals.

  • One administrator

  • One counselor

  • Four teachers (each from different departments)

  • Two parents

  • Two students

Meetings
