Block A Schedule

General

• School pictures have arrived. Please come to the attendance office to pick them up.
• Lockers will be issued to freshman and new students at lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Last names R-Z may come on Tuesday, A-H on Wed. and I-Q on Thursday. You must share a locker with a partner. Come to the bookroom window to get your locker.
• If you would like to be a morning announcer, please come to Room 203 during lunch today to audition! Please come with a joke prepared!
• The Albany Choir program is having a boba sale this Thursday. Bring your friends and enjoy some bob after school in front of the Art Building.
• Want to travel to Europe this school year. Informational meeting for those interested in February 2018 Mid-Winter Break trip to London, Paris, & Rome. Friday during lunch in room 215.

College and Career

• In this week’s college visit line-up we have: Colgate University on FRIDAY at 2:00. Next week we welcome Evergreen State, Vanderbilt, UCLA, Berkeley, & Puget Sound. Come visit with the person who may be reading your application… Space is limited so sign-up today!

Clubs and Teams

• There will be a mandatory meeting for all girls interested in playing on the JV or Varsity Girls Basketball teams today at 4:00pm in Room 218
• Come out and support the Varsityty Football team as they host Burton High School at Cougar Field on Friday at 6:30pm. FREE Albany High Football t-shirts will be given out to the first 100 students to show up. Remember, that admission is always FREE with Student I.D. $2.00 admission without ID. See you on Friday!
• Best Buddies Meeting will be held today during lunch in room 219.
• The club presidents meeting has been rescheduled to Friday during Advisory. Club charter forms are still due on Friday, 9/8 at 9am! Contact Sarah Hartono if there are any questions or concerns.
• Hi Freshmen! If you’re interested or are currently signed up for either Boy’s volleyball or powder puff, there is a MANDATORY meeting on Friday in the choir room, room 22 at the start of lunch!
• Do you feel passionately about combating systemic and institutional racism? Join Albany STANDS in room M4 at lunch to discuss how we can fight for justice and equity at AHS. Snacks will be provided!
• Math Club will be held on Monday in room 313. Come, cuz we have candy!
