Block A Schedule

General

• The Albany Board of education, which includes both student and elected members, will be hosting a series of forums to discuss important issues with students and staff. These forums will be held in the AHS atrium from 1:00-2:00 today. Come meet your Board Of Education members to share ideas, concerns, or questions you have and let’s work together to support all students in Albany.

College and Career

• The free P.T.P.S. fall SAT prep classes have begun! They take place 3:45-5:45pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. See Ms Parrott to get signed up…
• Attention Seniors: Our annual College Application Information Night is scheduled for Monday, September 18th at 7:00pm – 8:30pm in the Little Theater. Counselors will be presenting an overview of the application processes for 4-year college bound students. We look forward to seeing you there!
• In this week’s college visit line-up we have: UC Berkeley today and University of  Puget Sound on Friday. Next week we welcome Academy of Art, Fidm, Scripps, & Clark. Come visit with the person who may be reading your application…Space is limited so sign-up today!

Clubs and Teams

• Join AHS theater ensemble this Friday after school in the little theater for free pie and punch and the reveal of our fall production!
• Engineering Club today at lunch in Room 301.
• Hey Sophomores: Decorating meeting tomorrow at lunch in Room 212.
• Come support the AHS Girls Volleyball team at home against Saint Mary’s,  5:30pm  on Tuesday for the JV girls and 7:00pm for theVarsity girls. Remember, students are admitted Free with student I.D.
• For those interested in joining speech and debate, we will be having our first meeting today at lunch in portable M1. All are welcome. We can’t wait to see you there!
• One Heart Christian Club invites you to their first meeting of the year today during lunch in room 211! All are welcome!
